INTEL INDIA EMBDED CHALLENGE-2011-National level ideation and innovation Competition conducting by Intel India Team.

Greetings to you from Intel Higher Education Team!

We are glad to inform you that Intel Higher Education program in association with Embedded Communication Group of Intel India has launched a national level ideation and innovation competition based on embedded technologies. The objective of Intel India Embedded Challenge 2011 is to explore the endless possibilities of embedded applications based on Embedded Intel Architecture and inspire the vast technically savvy community in India to architect, design and develop novel embedded applications in areas such as – Consumer Electronics, Digital Security Surveillance, Medical, Storage & others.

The Intel IEC 2011 has two main categories 1) Embedded Geeks Category: involves development of a prototype using Intel Atom Processor, short listed participants in this category will be given Intel Atom Kit and mentoring support for prototyping their innovation 2) Embedded Solutions for Social Cause Category: involves making use of existing technologies to show a service / usage models in wide range of application or service areas. This category is open to non-engineering segments also.

Apart from winning great cash prizes (Overall INR: 13, 50,000/) as seed fund for their technology solutions, selected participants receive hardware / software support and mentoring from Intel Technologists and also get an opportunity to participate in The Next Big Idea - a Technology Entrepreneurship contest jointly conducted by Intel, Department of Science and Technology and Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and Mentoring Support will also be provided for winning team for business plan development.

We request your support in creating awareness about the contest among students and professionals of JNTU Hyderabad so that they can participate in this innovation competition and show case their talent. In this regard, we request you to send a circular to all the colleges affiliated to JNTU Hyderabad encouraging them to participate in the contest. Also, we are exploring to publish a brief write up on this contest in your newsletter or website, please provide your approval for the same and direct us to concerned officials so that we can coordinate with them further.
