    Hello Akhil.

SAS is a very good add-on to your resume.
I have done my course in my second year.

You've asked for the Jobs and role in pharmacy..

So, SAS has a great role if you want to go into the Clinical Research. Clinical research has 4 phases as you know it, Phase I, II, III and IV. And a lot of data is collected during the trails. So, all that data is analysed using SAS.

If you take M.Sc in Clinical research, it has a subject in one term named CDM > Clinical Data Management, It is totally related to the SAS thingy. I recommend you to take this course, if you want to get a job after B.Pharm. If you want to continue, it would be of great help ofcourse, and adds a great weight to your resume.

It has an initial pay scale of 10,000 to 20,000 INR; And I know people who are earning a six figure salary who has done SAS. You will get Jobs in major research companies, and you may also try and apply for companies like IBM, DELL etc.

Again, Take the course. Its very useful.

According to me, statistics is a little deviating from the pharmacy profession. So, try to stick to a course which is helpful to your pharmacy career, for which SAS is great. I'm really biased on whether Statistics is a good add-on.

I really advice you to do the SAS course. Make sure you do it in a good Institute; and of course with complete dedication. You have the zeal and adroitness, you will be offered a job immediately after you have completed the course.

I'll advice you to do your course in "Arundhathi infotech", which offers you a integrated CDM [Clinical Data Management] course, and offers a placement if you pass through a interview conducted by the institute after the course has been conducted.

    Details of the institute:
    Mr. Manikanta
    Arundathi infotech,
    Flat No 616, Aditya Enclave,
    Annapurna Block,
    Ameerpet, Hyderabad - 500016
    Phone: 040 66757545

It costs you around 5000-7000 INR, If you apply as a group of 5+ then there might be good amount of discount.
